British-Thai Man Stabs Japanese Man to Death in Pattaya Road Brawl
A brutal fight on Pattaya Third Road early Sunday morning ended in tragedy when a British-Thai man fatally stabbed a Japanese man after a violent showdown.
Fury on Pattaya Third Road
At around 6:06 AM, Pattaya police were called to chaos unfolding on the street. Rescue teams and local reporters rushed to the scene to find 27-year-old Japanese national Mr. Seita Tanabe with a life-threatening stab wound to his chest.
Despite first aid and CPR efforts, Mr. Tanabe was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The attacker, identified only as 36-year-old British-Thai man Mr. David, was found nearby with a swollen face, body scratches, and a torn shirt. Police said he appeared heavily drunk and a knife was recovered at the scene as evidence.
Eyewitnesses Reveal Shocking Details
Eyewitness Mr. Bank revealed the fight spiralled out of control when Mr. David argued with a foreign woman, thought to be his girlfriend. Mr. Tanabe and Mr. Bank tried to calm things down but Mr. David turned violent, punching Mr. Tanabe.
Mr. Tanabe fought back, only for Mr. David to pull a knife and stab him in the chest. Mr. Tanabe collapsed in front of horrified onlookers.
Suspect Detained Amid Tensions
Mr. David was arrested at the scene, reportedly showing zero remorse. Witnesses said he made a mocking “I love you” gesture to officers and smirked while in custody.
He was taken to hospital for treatment of a dislocated shoulder from the fight. Tempers flared when the victim’s girlfriend and friends confronted him there, forcing police to step in and move Mr. David to a police station for his own safety.
