Spicy Delivery for Titchfield School as Car Ploughs into Playground
Emergency services were called to Abshot Road shortly after 5.30 this evening after a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra crashed through two sets of safety railings outside St John’s School in Titchfield. Just hours earlier, parents would have been collecting their children from the packed playground. The injuries to the driver are unknown but are not thought to be serious. An ambulance has taken one person away from the scene to QA Hospital in Portsmouth. Buses in the area have also been diverted while the clear up operation continues. It is unclear if the school will be closed as a result of the damage. A home owner on Hunt Road who did not wish to be named said “She believed that it was a fast food pizza delivery driver who came gunning it up the road from Warash Road and had to give way to turning traffic and ended up smashing into the railings there was a massive smash it’s pretty scared to think about what could of happened there was an after school club running at the time. People need to think and slow down the driver was lucky that he wasn’t badly hurt
