The incident took place at around 11.45am on Tuesday, June 7 in the Co-operative car park, by the junction of Botley Road and Rownhams Road. The male police officer approached the vehicle and spoke to the driver through the window. The driver then reversed the vehicle and drove off at speed, colliding with the officer. The officer received minor injuries to his hand and leg and remained on duty.
