Police Officer Mowed Down Outside Co-op in North Baddesley after Vehicle Makes off

Police  are appealing for witnesses after a fail to stop collision between a gold-coloured Ford Mondeo and a police officer in North Baddesley.

The incident took place at around 11.45am on Tuesday, June 7 in the Co-operative car park, by the junction of Botley Road and Rownhams Road. The male police officer approached the vehicle and spoke to the driver through the window. The driver then reversed the vehicle and drove off at speed, colliding with the officer. The officer received minor injuries to his hand and leg and remained on duty. Police are appealing for anyone who saw this incident, or who saw a gold-coloured Ford Mondeo in the area at this time, to contact us on 101, quoting 44160211843.
