A huge search is underway off Beachy Head tonight after the car of missing 28-year-old Suzannah Brown was spotted near the notorious East Sussex cliffs.
Major Rescue Effort Launched
Just before midnight on Wednesday, police, RNLI, and three coastguard teams swung into action. They’re combing the foggy cliffs and sea around Beachy Head, one of the UK’s most infamous suicide spots, in desperate hopes of finding Suzannah.
Multiple Rescue Teams Join the Hunt
A UK Coastguard spokesman confirmed that two lifeboats – an all-weather and an inshore vessel from Eastbourne – plus search squads from Eastbourne, Birling Gap, and Newhaven are involved. Thick fog is making the search tougher for volunteers on the ground.
Who is Suzannah Brown?
The 28-year-old from Chiswick was reported missing by Hounslow Police. Her car was found abandoned at Beachy Head late Wednesday. Earlier this year, Suzannah began a new role as Senior Account Manager at Grayling, working with clients like Hilton Hotels.
Suzannah also studied at the University of Sussex in Brighton, just 20 miles west of where her vehicle was recovered.
