Motorcyclist rushed to hospital following Serious Collision in uk/where/hawley/">Hawley
A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital this morning following a serious Collision on the B327 Hawley Road in Hawley in hampshire/">Hampshire. Emergency services rushed to the scene and treated the rider who has come off his machine after it is understood that he was in collision with a black Volkswagen Toureg yards from Hawley Primary School. The biker has been flown by air ambulance to St Georges Hospitial with life threatening injuries. Road Police officers from Whitchurch (Northern) have put in hard road closures to assist with their investigation.
_psEmbed(“https:///uknip.photoshelter.com”); The Road is closed at the junction with Fernhill Road and Vicarage Road and the closure in both directions goes to just past Chapel Lane in Hawley Police at the scene have said that the road closure is likely to be in place until early to mid afternoon. Drivers are being asked to seek alternative routes. Officers have escorted some residents on foot back to there home but without there vehicles whom live within the closure. Road Collision investigators are carrying out tests and examining a crumpled motorbike. It is understood that the rider was riding in tandem with a second bike when the collision took place. Hampshire Police Said:Just after 9am today (Monday, 13 November) a collision occurred on Hawley Road involving two vehicles, a black Volkswagon Touareg and a blue Yamaha motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle, a 23-year-old man from Farnborough, received life threatening injuries. He was airlifted to hospital in Tooting where he remains in a life threatening condition. The driver of the Volkswagon, 31-year-old woman from Farnborough did not receive any injuries. Inspector Barry Long, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision, and hasn’t already spoken to us, to get in touch. Were you in the area at the time of the incident?
