Three young men hurt in one-car horror crash in south Birmingham – two seriously.
Single-Car Rollover on Gayhill Lane
A dramatic single-vehicle rollover left three lads injured just after midnight on Gayhill Lane, Kings Norton. The crash caused serious damage, sparking a major emergency response.
Rapid Emergency Response
A passerby spotted the wreck and dialled 999 immediately. The first ambulance arrived in just seven minutes, followed by another ambulance, a paramedic officer, and the MERIT trauma team including a critical care doctor.
Three Victims at the Scene
West Midlands Ambulance Service revealed a man in his early 20s was found in a nearby field, unconscious and badly hurt. Firefighters had to break through a hedge and fence to reach him.
“He was anaesthetised and immobilised on scene before being rushed on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s major trauma centre,” said a service spokesman.
Two 18-year-olds were also injured. One was found next to a bush with multiple bruises and cuts and taken to the hospital urgently. The other had managed to get out of the wreck but suffered a nasty laceration. He, too, was taken to the same hospital.
Night of Mayhem on Gayhill Lane
The cause of the crash remains under investigation as emergency teams continue to piece together what led to the terrifying rollover.
