Hit-and-Run Horror in East London: Mercedes Flees After Knockdown

Detectives are hunting witnesses after a hit-and-run left a pedestrian injured in east London.

Merc Collides with Pedestrian on Bethnal Green Road

Just after 11pm on Friday, 20 April, a black Mercedes E Class smashed into a 23-year-old woman near Shoreditch High Street, E1. The driver sped off and vanished without stopping.

Victim Treated and Released from Hospital

The pedestrian was rushed to an east London hospital by ambulance but has since been discharged. Thankfully, she survived the ordeal.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command believe the Mercedes carried more than one passenger and that the driver knew the area well. They want to hear from anyone who saw the crash or the car fleeing the scene.
