Downs closed after car ploughs into Hare and Hounds Pub
Police have closed the Downs Road in Havenstreet and Ashley on the Isle of Wight following a collision involving a vehicle that has ploughed into the Hare and Hounds pub. Emergency services were called just after 2.30pm on Sunday after the vehicle lost control and ploughed into the wall of the Grade two listed building. Police have closed the road in both directed and partners from both the Isle of Wight fire service and Ambulance have also been called to the incident. Hampshire Constabulary said that one person was been treated for minor injuries following the collision that happened at 2.32pm.
