Car Crashes Into Historic Hare and Hounds Pub on Isle of Wight
Chaos hit the quiet village of Havenstreet when a vehicle smashed into the Hare and Hounds pub. The crash happened just after 2.30pm on Sunday, sending shockwaves through the community.
Road Closed After Smash
Police swiftly shut down Downs Road in both directions as emergency teams rushed to the scene. The car lost control and ploughed straight into the wall of the Grade II listed building, causing damage and disruption.
Emergency Services Respond
Firefighters and paramedics from the Isle of Wight responded alongside Hampshire Constabulary. Thankfully, only one person suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Officers continue to investigate the collision that occurred at 2.32pm.
