Hampshire Police Hunt Stranger Who Grabbed Woman in Fleet
Hampshire Constabulary is on the case after a 48-year-old woman was groped by a stranger in Fleet. The shocking attack happened just after midnight on Sunday, 29 July, on Reading Road South, between Longmead and Basingbourne Roads.
Woman Attacked from Behind
The victim was walking alone when a man approached, said something to her, then suddenly grabbed her from behind. He touched her inappropriately over her clothes. The woman managed to break free when a passerby came along, sending the man running.
Fortunately, she was not physically injured. But police are desperate to track down the creep.
Suspect Description
- White male
- In his 40s
- Between 5ft 7in and 6ft tall
- Large build
- Strawberry blonde hair, cut grade 4/5
- Wearing a white shirt, dark blue or black gillet, and dark shorts
Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team have stepped up patrols in the area.
