‘No Excuse for Domestic Violence’
Investigating officer PC Tony Edwards said: “There is never a reason for anyone to suffer violence like this. McDonald-Gillet is a volatile and aggressive person who intended to hurt his victim that day. He showed absolutely no remorse after leaving her with injuries that have left permanent scars across her face and ear. I hope his lengthy prison sentence sends a strong message that domestic abuse will not be tolerated by Kent Police.”
