Police called to Downs Road following Collison
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary have been called to a collision of the Downs Road on the outskirts of Newport this afternoon. A number of officers have been sent to the collision and drivers are reporting that traffic is already building as a result. The collision has happened on Lime Kiln Road Ryde near to Newport Shute involving Blue Vauxhall Astra and Mitsubishi L200 Pickup truck. Part of the carriage remains blocks with local diversions in place for drivers attempting to get to Newport.
