Driver to Face Court Over Fatal A34 Crash

A 20-year-old driver is set to appear in court next month after a deadly smash on the A34. Lee Burdon, from Tristram Avenue, Durham, has been charged with causing death by driving while over the legal drug limit.

Minibus and Lorry Collision Kills Man

The tragic crash happened on the southbound A34 on August 26. Craig Hall, 36, from Middlesbrough, was travelling in the minibus and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Injuries and Court Date

  • Three other passengers in the minibus were injured.
  • The 63-year-old lorry driver escaped unharmed.
  • Lee Burdon is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on September 18.
