Police swarm Cowes street after violent stop and search drama

Blue Lights Flood Pallance Road

Police have flooded Pallance Road in Cowes this evening. Around six police vehicles and a police van have blocked the street since officers arrived just after 6pm. Residents say the road looked like a “sea of blue lights.”

Stop and Search Turns Ugly

Officers carrying out a stop and search for drugs reportedly came under attack. A suspect fled on foot during the search, while another sped off on a motorcycle. One police officer suffered an eye injury during the scuffle.

Arrests Still Pending

A local told us an arrest may have been made, but police have confirmed no one is in custody yet. Officers remain on scene outside a property as investigations continue.
