Red Funnel’s Linkspan Finally Fixed After Months of Delays!
After a gruelling 12-hour overnight repair by a 12-strong crew, Red Funnel’s notorious Linkspan is officially back in action. This vital mechanism, which loads the upper deck of their vehicle ferries, had been out of order since late last year, causing chaos with slow loading times and frustrating delays.
Delays Finally In The Past
Red Funnel hesitated to celebrate too soon but with over 90 hours of smooth sailing since the fix, they’re confident the problem is truly sorted. Even better, the new repair means the Linkspan now works more efficiently than ever. Plus, a fast-track UK-made parts system is in place to speed up any future fixes.
Thanks For Your Patience, Passengers!
Red Funnel gave a heartfelt shoutout to the passengers who stuck with them through the messy months. “Our teams gave their all to keep services moving, but some delays were unavoidable,” they admitted. The ferry operator also promised to improve communication in the future.
“We should have been more vocal and transparent about the issue from the start. We’ll do better going forward and hope to earn your trust.”
Red Funnel is now firing on all cylinders, ready to get you on and off the Island faster — unless fate decides otherwise!
