Tragedy Strikes Again: Second Motorcyclist Killed on Sussex Roads in Two Days

Sussex Police have issued a stark warning to drivers and riders after a second deadly motorcycle crash in just 48 hours during the busy Easter weekend. As more motorists hit the roads in the holiday sunshine, vigilance is now crucial.

The Suzuki rider, a 39-year-old London man, was critically injured and tragically pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The Ford Ranger’s driver and female passenger suffered suspected back injuries and shock. Both were rushed to hospital for treatment.

Police Warn: Easter Road Safety Vital

“We tend to see a spike in serious injury collisions involving motorbikes around this time of year, especially on fine weekends and Bank Holidays,” said Sergeant Richard Hobbs of Sussex Roads Policing Unit.

“If you haven’t been out for a while, or even if you have, ride carefully and stay aware.”

“Other road users need to heed the Think Bike! message – be mindful of riders, especially when turning or exiting junctions.”

“Whatever your plans this Easter weekend, please stay safe and considerate on the roads.”
