LIVE UPDATES:Emergency services rushed to Fuel tanker on Fire on M25 near Sevenoaks

The M25 Clockwise at Junction 5 Sevenoaks has been closed following a major fire that has broken out from a vehicle.       [oa_livecom_event id=’7′ animation=’flash’] Emergency services were alerted just after 5am to a fuel tanker that had caught alight. Fire crews from Kent fire and rescue are at the scene along with officers from Kent Roads Policing. Officers from Highway England have also been called to assist. Driver are advised to avoid the area and to seek alternative routes for the time being. Currently, Highways traffic officers have the traffic held whilst they close the carriageway heading to Junction 6. When they release the traffic, access down the A21 will be open and you can rejoin the M25 clockwise from there. Kent Fire and Rescue say they received a 999 call from the driver of the fuel tanker, who told them the cab of his vehicle was on fire. A spokesman added: “The vehicle is on the slip road (also known as the Snake) heading towards Clacket Lane (between junctions 5 Sevenoaks and 6 Limpsfield). “The carriageway is currently and closed. Fire crews are at the scene dealing with this incident, please take extra care on the approach.”
