Police confirm death of a man in Wallasey is not suspicious

Merseyside Police can confirm the death of a man in Wallasey is not being treated as suspicious. At around 6.30am yesterday (Monday, 20 May) police were called to the report of a man’s body being found at the lake in Central Park, Liscard Road, Wallasey. He was pronounced dead at the location. The man has been identified and enquiries are ongoing to locate his next of kin. A Home Office Post Mortem has taken place and the cause of death withheld pending toxicology reports. At this time the death is being treated as non-suspicious and the matter will be referred to the coroner.
