Man stabbed in the leg near a Croydon tram stop

Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and have been forbidden from entering the tram network The victim, a man in his late teens, was knifed near Therapia Lane tram stop at 7.22pm on Saturday (May 25). Paramedics took him to hospital, where his injuries were deemed to be not life-changing or life-threatening. He was able to go home later that day. Police put up a cordon near to where the attack happened, with officers gathering evidence in the hours that followed. Four teenagers were arrested nearby on suspicion of GBH. A spokesman for the British Transport Police (BTP) said: “BTP officers were called to an area near Therapia Lane tram stop following a report of a stabbing. “A man in his late teens suffered an injury to his leg and was taken to hospital. Three boys and a man were subsequently arrested; a 16-year-old boy from Beddington, a 16-year-old from Croydon, a 17-year-old from Sutton and a 19-year-old from South Norwood, all on suspicion of GBH. “They have been released on bail until June 21 with conditions not to enter the tram network.”
