Margate assault results in two arrests

Witnesses are being sought following a report of assault which led to the arrest of two people in Margate. It was reported that the incident involving two men took place at around 5pm on Sunday 14 July 2019 in Northdown Road near the junction with Dane Hill. Both men sustained injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment. A 32-year-old man and a 46-year-old man, both from Margate, were arrested on suspicion of assault and they currently remain in custody while officers work to establish the circumstances of the altercation. Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the altercation or may have captured dashcam or CCTV footage of it. They are asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 14-1146.
