Shots Fired Near Tottenham Junior School in Broad Daylight
Shots rang out near a junior school in Tottenham on Tuesday evening, sparking panic in the community. Police were called at 6.30pm after a masked gunman opened fire at a group of men outside a takeaway on Park Lane, N17.
Gunman Targets Group Outside Takeaway
The Met’s Trident and Area Command detectives revealed the suspect arrived in a small black car, quickly got out, and fired several shots before speeding off. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the terrifying attack.
Scene Searched, Firearm Evidence Recovered
Armed officers scoured the area soon after, recovering evidence of gunfire. Despite a thorough search and house-to-house inquiries, no arrests have been made as detectives continue to hunt the shooter.
Police Plea for Witnesses
“This was a terrifying ordeal close to a school and a busy football stadium,” said DC Lee Janes, leading the investigation. “Thankfully no one was hurt, but this reckless attack could have had deadly consequences.”
“We urge anyone who saw the shooter or the black vehicle involved to come forward. This brazen violence won’t be tolerated in London.”
