Boy, 12, arrested in Norwich stabbing and Street robbery investigation

Detectives investigating an attempted robbery in which a 13-year-old was stabbed in Norwich have arrested a 12-year-old boy. The boy was arrested in Norwich this morning by officers and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. The boy, arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault GBH, has been released on bail until 8 December while enquiries continue. Two other boys, aged 14 and 16, arrested last week also remain on police bail. The incident happened in an alleyway near Aldi in Larkman Lane at about 5.40pm on Wednesday (13 November 2019). Suspect(s) approached the victim and demanded money and during the incident the boy suffered a stab wound to the back. He was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment for a non-life-threatening injury and was discharged later that night. Nothing was stolen and the people involved are thought to be known to one another. Police are still keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has information concerning those involved. Witnesses should contact Norwich CID on 101 quoting incident number 324 of 13 November 2019.
