12-Year-Old Arrested Over Stabbing of 13-Year-Old in Norwich Robbery Attempt
Teen Taken In for Questioning
Detectives have arrested a 12-year-old boy in Norwich over a shocking stabbing during a robbery attempt. The youngster was held this morning and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Robbery and Assault Charges
The boy faces suspicion of robbery and assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH). He has since been released on bail until 8 December while police continue their investigations.
Two other teenagers, aged 14 and 16, were also arrested last week and remain on bail as inquiries go on.
Stabbing in Larkman Lane Alley
The attack took place at around 5.40pm on 13 November in an alley near Aldi on Larkman Lane. The victim, 13, was approached by suspects demanding money. He was stabbed in the back but miraculously, his injury was not life-threatening.
The boy was treated at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and discharged that same night. No items were stolen during the incident. Police believe those involved know each other.
Police Seek Witnesses
Officers urge anyone who saw the incident or has information to come forward. Witnesses should contact Norwich CID on 101, quoting incident number 324 of 13 November 2019.
