Cash machine gang strike in Northfleet

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are investigating a burglary where a cash machine was stolen in Northfleet. The incident happened at the Northfleet Food and Wine shop in the High Street, shortly before 12.15am on Thursday 28 November 2019. It was reported that two suspects reversed a white Ford transit van into the shop front three times causing extensive damage. Straps were used to pull the cash machine out of the shop before it was dragged by the van along the High Street and then on to College Road. The van was believed to be in convoy with a blue Ford Fiesta. Following an area search the transit van was discovered abandoned in Lodge Lane, Cobham with the cash machine inside. Witnesses or anyone with information are urged to call the appeal line on 01474 366149 quoting reference 46/227195/19.
