Third Man Charged Over Whitechapel Murder of Iron Miah
New Arrest in Shocking Whitechapel Shooting
Detectives probing the brutal killing of Iron Miah, 40, in Whitechapel have charged a third suspect with murder. Mohamed Moshaer Ali, 27, from Dagenham, was charged on Sunday, 8 December, and faced Thames Magistrates’ Court the next day. He was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 11 December.
Victim Shot in Head, Dies Days Later
Police were called to Nelson Street, Whitechapel, on Tuesday, 19 November after Iron Miah was found collapsed with a head injury. Despite emergency response from officers and paramedics, Miah died two days later. A post-mortem confirmed he died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Ongoing Homicide Probe Yields Multiple Charges
- Two other men — Hassan Mohammed, 31, from portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth, and Nanu Miah, 20, from Southwark — were previously charged with murder and are remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on 14 February 2020.
- A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and released on bail.
- Another 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and also released on bail pending further inquiries.
