Terror Suspect Set for Old Bailey Hearing

Filip Golon Bedarczyk, 25, from Luton, is due back at the Old Bailey on Friday, 3 April for a pre-trial preparation hearing. He faces serious terrorism-related charges.

Serious Charges Laid Against Bedarczyk

  • Seven counts of possessing documents likely useful for terrorism (Terrorism Act 2000, Section 58)
  • One count of making or possessing explosives under suspicious circumstances (Explosive Substance Act, Section 4)

He was first charged on 17 December 2019 and has been remanded in custody since.

Next Steps and Trial Date

Bedarczyk appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in December 2019 and at the Old Bailey in January 2020. His full trial is set to begin on 15 June 2020.

Authorities have confirmed this case is not connected to the Fishmongers’ Hall attack on 29 November.
