£60,000 Cash and Class A Drugs Seized in Medway Bust

Two men have been slapped with serious charges after a major police crackdown in Medway and Maidstone. Kent Police’s Operation Raptor swooped on February 3, 2020, hitting two addresses simultaneously in Maidstone Road, Rochester, and Reginald Road, Maidstone.

Massive Haul Includes Cash, Drugs, and Replica Gun

The raids uncovered over £60,000 in cash. At the Reginald Road address, officers also found around 134 grams of suspected Class A drugs and a replica firearm.

Ross Staines and Lewis Weaver Arrested and Charged

Ross Staines, 22, of Maidstone Road, Rochester, and Lewis Weaver, also 22, from Reginald Road, Maidstone, were both arrested at the scenes. They were charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs, along with possession of criminal property, namely the seized cash.

Both men were remanded in custody and are set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on April 1.
