Man Sought After Late-Night Assault
Police have released an image of a man they want to speak with after a woman in her 20s was brutally attacked in Kennington Gardens, Southwark. The horrific incident happened just after 2am on Sunday, 29 December 2019 near Kennington Park Road.
Victim Attacked and Injured in Street
The young woman was walking alone when an unknown man approached and launched a savage attack. She suffered a blow to the head and was taken to hospital as a precaution, but thankfully later discharged. Specialist officers are now supporting her through the ordeal.
Police Plea for Eyewitnesses
Detective Inspector Ian Kenward from the Central South Safeguarding Command said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to the man shown in the footage.” He urged anyone in the area at the time, or who recognises the suspect, to get in touch immediately.
