Man Thrown Like Rag Doll in Shocking Hit and Run

Police have arrested a man following a brutal hit and run where a pedestrian was violently thrown into the air like a rag doll.

Crash at Three Bridges Sends Victim Flying

Officers from Sussex Roads Policing rushed to Haslett Avenue East, Three Bridges, at 6.10pm on Wednesday after a 28-year-old man was struck by a white Audi while crossing the road near the railway station.

The Audi ploughed into the man before speeding off, leaving the victim badly injured. The car was later found abandoned nearby.

Suspect Turns Himself In

The injured man was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.

Police say a 23-year-old Crawley man handed himself in and was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop. He was interviewed and released under caution.
