Two Men Charged in Plot to Burgle London Properties
Two men have been slapped with charges of conspiracy to burgle in a string of daring theft attempts.
Dates and Details
- Alexandru Stan, 49, from Constable Gardens, Harrow, faces charges for plotting burglary between 29 November and 9 December 2019.
- Sorin Marcovici, 52, of Dagenham Road, Romford, is charged for conspiracy to burgle between 6 December and 12 December 2019.
Both men were remanded in custody and are set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 9 July.
Previous Arrests in the Same Investigation
This crackdown follows earlier charges against two others linked to the same case. Maria Mester, 47, and Emil-Bogdan Savastru, 29, from Tower Hamlets, were charged with conspiracy to burgle spanning 30 November to 1 February, plus concealing criminal property.
Savastru faces extra charges for possession of counterfeit currency and attempting to remove criminal property. Those two will appear at Isleworth Crown Court in late July.
The unfolding case highlights an ongoing effort by police to crack down on burglary rings across London.
