Officers were called to Parsonage Lane shortly after midday following reports of two children injured by the falling tree. Paramedics, South East Coast Ambulance Service, the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance, and Kent Fire and Rescue all responded swiftly.
One Child Dies, Another Airlifted to Hospital
A Kent Police spokesman confirmed: “One child was declared deceased at the scene, and another was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries.
