Leslie Winnister Held Over Wife’s Death
Leslie Winnister, 68, from Becketts Close, Bexley, has been charged with the murder of his wife, Suzanne Winnister.
The charge came on Friday evening, 11 September, following a grim discovery at their home.
Tragic Discovery at Becketts Close
Police were called at 9.15pm on Tuesday, 8 September, after a woman was found collapsed at the couple’s address.
Emergency crews attended, but 66-year-old Suzanne was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cause of Death Revealed
A special post-mortem on 9 September revealed she died from severe head and neck injuries.
Leslie Winnister was arrested on suspicion of murder and formally charged the following Friday.
Next Steps in Court
Winnister is set to appear in custody at bromley/" title="Bromley" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 12 September.
