Birmingham Woman Convicted of Manslaughter in Bromsgrove Knife Death
Cordelia Farrell, 38, from Dainton Grove, Birmingham, was convicted today (Wednesday 21 October) of manslaughter for the stabbing death of Wayne Coventry. The 37-year-old was fatally stabbed in the chest following an altercation at his Bromsgrove home on Monday 14 October 2019.
Victim Dies at Scene, Killer Surrenders
Wayne Coventry tragically died at the scene. After the attack, Farrell fled but later handed herself in at a Birmingham police station on 19 October.

“Wayne’s family and friends want to thank West Mercia Police for their tremendous work and professionalism in bringing our son’s killer to trial,” said a family spokesperson. “A special thanks to the Police Liaison Officers for their support and empathy throughout this ordeal.”

Police Hope for Closure as Sentencing Looms
Detective Inspector Lee Holehouse of West Mercia Police said: “I hope today’s verdict brings some comfort to Mr Coventry’s family. Justice has been served, and while sentencing is pending, this should offer a small sense of closure.”
Farrell will be sentenced Thursday 22 October at Worcester Crown Court.
