Armed Robbery Shocker in Seasalter Pharmacy!
Man Threatens Staff and Steals Medication
Kent Police rushed to a pharmacy on Faversham Road, Seasalter, at 9.20am on Monday, 5 December 2022 after a man stormed in and threatened staff. He made off with medication, but thankfully no one was hurt.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Officers quickly swooped and arrested a man following the incident. After investigations by East Kent CID, Simon Wightman, 51, from The Broadway, Herne Bay, was charged with robbery, possession of a firearm without a certificate, possession of ammunition, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Court Appearances Set
Wightman appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 6 December, and was remanded in custody. He is due back before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, 9 January 2023.
