Long delays on the A2 just outside Canterbury in after a large Pothole has seen one lane just before the Canterbury off slip.
Officers from Kent Police stopped traffic temporarily while they put out a lane closure.
One officer could be seen look into the hole.
The closure is likely to be in place for some time whilst emergency repair work is carried.
