Sick Paedo Graham Medway’s Jail Term Under Review

Graham Medway, 62, was locked up for 14 years after admitting to orally raping a three-year-old girl at Fort Victoria Country Park in August 2020. He must serve nine years behind bars, followed by five years on licence.

But now his sentence is under the microscope. Officials have applied to have the punishment reviewed, aiming to crank up the jail time.

Maximum Sentence Could Mean Life Behind Bars

The brutal rape of a child under 13 carries a maximum life sentence. Current guidelines suggest custodial terms range from six to 19 years, leaving room for tougher punishment.

An Attorney General’s Office spokesperson said:

“We have received a request for the case of Graham Medway to be considered under the unduly lenient sentence scheme. The Law Officers have 28 days from sentencing to consider the case.”

Another Freshwater Paedo Case Also Under Review

The life sentence of Jonathan Richard Maertens, 35, is also facing scrutiny. Maertens, convicted in Freshwater, was ordered to serve a minimum of 16 years by Judge Tim Mousley.
