Teen Jailed for Fatal Screwdriver Attack in Oxford

A 17-year-old from Milton Keynes was sentenced today at Oxford Crown Court for a brutal stabbing that claimed a man’s life. The teen, unnamed due to his age, pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Victim Stabbed with Screwdriver in Wood Farm

Victim Robin Williamson, 43, from Awgar Stone Road, Oxford, was attacked with a screwdriver on 27 October 2019. He succumbed to his injuries on 12 November 2019, with a post-mortem confirming the assault caused his death.

Another Teen Cleared of Charges

A 16-year-old from Banbury, initially charged alongside the sentenced teen, was acquitted of all charges.

Police Reaction

“I am satisfied that the teenager in this case has admitted his involvement and has now been sentenced,” said Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Bosley.

“This case shows once again the consequences of assaulting someone with a weapon and the devastating impact on families and communities.”

“Our thoughts remain with Mr Williamson’s friends and family, and I hope the sentencing brings them some closure. I would also like to thank them for their support throughout the investigation.”
