Brutal Headbutt Attack Lands Man Behind Bars
Adam Jaylani, 21, from Edgware, London, was locked up for 21 months at St Albans Crown Court on Thursday 18 March. He also got slapped with a 10-year restraining order banning him from contacting or going near his victim and her family.
Shock Assault on Teen in Parked Car
Jaylani had already admitted to actual bodily harm for the vicious attack back on 18 November 2019. The victim, just 14 at the time, was known to him.
They were sitting in a parked car on Park Avenue when Jaylani suddenly headbutted the girl before punching her square in the mouth. The blow left her with nasty bruising on her face.
Police: Jaylani a Dangerous Threat
“Jaylani has shown himself to be a dangerous individual,” said Detective Sergeant Dean Trollope, lead investigator. “The victim was terrified and suffered significant injuries from the vicious assault.”
The victim has been given support by specially-trained officers and the Beacon victim support service since the attack.
“I hope Jaylani’s conviction and restraining order give her some closure so she can start moving on with her life,” added DS Trollope.
