Two Men Arrested in Connection with Elderly Woman’s Burglary
An 82-year-old woman was targeted at her home on Sycamore Close, Canvey, on 17 December last year.
Robert Sims Charged with Burglary and Fraud
On Saturday 20 March, two men were arrested. Robert Sims, 28, from High Road, Fobbing, was charged with burglary and fraud by false representation. He appeared at chelmsford/" title="Chelmsford" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday 22 March and was remanded in custody. His next hearing is at Basildon Crown Court on 19 April.
Second Suspect Released on Bail
A 31-year-old man from Benfleet was arrested for suspicion of aggravated burglary. He has been released on bail until 13 April as investigations continue.
