Midnight Axe Attack Foiled at Minster-on-Sea Shop

In the early hours of Friday, 10 November 2023, a vigilant passerby spotted a man trying to break into a business on The Broadway, Minster-on-Sea. They wasted no time and immediately called the cops.
Cops Catch Burglar Red-Handed
Officers arrived within 10 minutes and found 52-year-old Dominic Stockdale armed with an axe, a craft knife, and other tools. He was trying to pry open a security door to the shop.
Charged and Awaiting Sentence
Stockdale was arrested on the spot. The Swale Victim Based Crime Team charged him with burglary and possession of a bladed article in public. He pled guilty at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 12 November. Stockdale is now on conditional bail, waiting for sentencing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date yet to be confirmed.
