Serious Assault Shakes Paulsgrove: Two Charged

Police have charged two people following a brutal stabbing in Paulsgrove.

Stolen Vehicle Sparks Horrific Attack

Officers were called to Tunstall Road at 8.20am on 10 April after reports of a stolen vehicle. On arrival, they found a man in a garden suffering stab wounds to his leg, head, and face.

The victim was rushed to hospital and is now in stable condition.

Suspects in Custody

Lee Robert Benneyworth, 38, of Portsmouth’s 1 Road, and Tammy Louise Hunt, 43, from Tunstall Road, have been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. Both were remanded and are set to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court this morning (12 April).

Meanwhile, two other women linked to the incident were also arrested over the weekend. A 42-year-old Portsmouth woman is on police bail, and a 37-year-old has been released with no further action.
