Tragedy on Essex Regiment Way as Driver Dies in Horror Crash
Police rushed to Essex Regiment Way, Little Waltham at 1:45pm after ambulance crews reported a car had slammed off the road. Despite desperate attempts to save him, the driver – a man in his 60s from Thaxted – was pronounced dead at the scene.
Driver Dies Alone in Single-Vehicle Smash
Officers confirmed no other vehicles are believed to have been involved. Next of kin have been informed of the heartbreaking loss.

Road Closed but Set to Reopen Tonight
Essex Regiment Way remains closed to traffic but is expected to reopen by 6pm this evening.
