Knife-Wielding Robber Hits Magpie Hall Road Newsagent
A newsagent on Magpie Hall Road was targeted in a brazen daytime robbery around 3.15pm on Tuesday, 13 April 2021.
During the shocking incident, an employee was threatened with a knife while the thief made off with a stash of cash.
Swift Arrest by Chief Constable’s Crime Squad
Police acted fast. Jason Malloy, 28, from Ansell Avenue, Chatham, was arrested the very next morning after intensive enquiries by the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad.
Charged and Remanded
Malloy now faces charges of robbery and threatening a person with a bladed article. He’s been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 15 April.
