Gardaí swooped on a business premises in Dublin 11 this morning, recovering a staggering 2,150 catalytic converters. That’s not all — they also found 14 drums filled with smelted converters, ready to be melted down.
Big Bucks and Wheels Snatched Too
The raid didn’t stop with just parts. Officers also seized a whopping €74,240 in cash alongside a vehicle believed to be tied to the operation.
Young Man Arrested as Investigation Unfolds
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and is now in custody at Ballymun Garda Station. The move comes amid a wider probe into catalytic converter thefts plaguing Dublin 1 and surrounding areas.
