Man Arrested for Murder of Woman in Ilford
Suspect in Custody After Fatal Incident
Muhammad Ilyas, 40, from Kingston Road, Ilford, was arrested on Wednesday, 26 May and charged with murder the next day. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 28 May. He will face further hearings at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 1 June.
Woman’s Death Reclassified as Homicide
The charge relates to the death of a 32-year-old woman at a home on Kingston Road, Ilford, on Thursday, 13 May. Initially deemed unexplained, a post mortem later confirmed the death was a homicide.
