Barber Shop Brawl Sparks Police Action

Kent Police rushed to Week Street near St Faith’s Street at 9.45am on Wednesday 30 June 2021 after reports of a disturbance inside a local barber shop.

A man inside suffered a nasty cut to his hand following an assault. Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service treated him at the scene.

Three Arrested Over Shocking Attack

Officers quickly arrested three suspects linked to the violent incident. Details emerged over the following days.

  • Kieran Betturidge, 21, London: Charged with affray and possession of a bladed article on Friday 2 July. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded for a future hearing.
  • 17-Year-Old Teen, London: Faced multiple charges including affray, possession of a bladed weapon, and two counts of assaulting emergency workers on Saturday 3 July. He was remanded in custody to appear in court on Monday 5 July.
  • Another 17-Year-Old: Released on bail as investigations continue.
