Midnight Burglar Gang Busted in Denham Close Raids

Two terrifying break-ins shook Denham Close in early May. At 1.15am on May 6, Alan Finley, 39, and Ibrahim Ormangorem, 23, smashed their way into a home wielding crowbars. They threatened the victim for her mobile phone in a chilling burglary.

Return Visit Ends in Police Sting

The very next night, the duo came back—this time with accomplices Jamie Andrews, 39, and 18-year-old Firatcan Dundar. They targeted a second house on Denham Close. But police arrived just in time, catching the burglars hiding upstairs armed with a crowbar and baseball bat.

Reading Crown Court Delivers Heavy Sentences

  • Finley and Ormangorem admitted to burglary and aggravated burglary charges.
  • Andrews pled guilty to aggravated burglary.
  • Dundar accepted responsibility but received a suspended sentence.

On July 30, the four men faced justice at Reading Crown Court. Finley was slammed with eight years behind bars. Ormangorem and Andrews got six years each. Meanwhile, Dundar avoided jail with a two-year suspended sentence and 300 hours of community service.

The swift police action and court sentencing send a clear message: crime doesn’t pay in Denham Close.
