School Minibus Stolen in Broad Daylight – Pupils’ Trips Put on Hold
Two brazen thieves have nicked a school minibus, leaving pupils stranded and scrapping planned trips. The robbery happened at 3.53pm on Thursday 5th August, with police now on the hunt.

Officers are also after two suspects who tried to steal the same minibus earlier on Tuesday 3rd August at 12.59pm. The main suspect was seen driving out of the school’s driveway, turning left onto Indus Road, heading towards Shooters Hill.

The school and police urge locals to review CCTV or doorbell camera footage that might shed light on the theft.

Shock and Disbelief at School
“It feels particularly hard to accept that someone would choose to steal our school bus that is only there for classes of children to go on school trips,” said the headteacher. “This theft risks depriving them of those experiences and opportunities whilst we try and work out what we can do about it.”
The stolen bus is covered with pictures of pupils learning, plus the school’s name and logos – making it a glaring target. The community is urged to stay vigilant and report any info immediately.
