Katie Price Caught Drink-Driving Near Sussex Home
Katie Price has admitted drink-driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance after crashing near her Sussex home. The 43-year-old former glamour model appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court today following the Tuesday morning crash on the B2135 near Partridge Green.
Drink-Driving Charge Sticks, Drug Charge Dropped
Price faced charges including driving while unfit through drink, driving without insurance, and driving while disqualified. Prosecutor Debbie Jones confirmed a swab tested positive for alcohol. The drug-driving charge was dropped after Price pleaded guilty to drink-driving.
Defence Cites Personal Struggles
Defending lawyer Joe Harrington revealed Price has been going through a tough time. “She has had a lot of personal problems recently,” he said. Price is currently facing bankruptcy, and her car may be repossessed. Harrington described the incident as a “one-off” and said Price was feeling lonely at home before deciding to visit a friend.
Sentencing Set for December
Katie Price is banned from driving and will be sentenced on 15th December. This delay allows her to attend rehab and meet with probation services.
