Woman Assaulted Near Priory Hotel in Late-Night Attack
Violent Incident Rocks Dover Pub Area
A woman was reportedly attacked by a man near The Priory Hotel on Priory Station Approach Road between 11.30pm on Saturday, 6 November, and 2am the next morning.
Taxi Escape Leads to Deal in Blue Vauxhall Corsa
Following the assault, the victim sought a taxi and was driven to Deal in a blue Vauxhall Corsa. Police were alerted around 2.40am and responded quickly, with South East Coast Ambulance Service treating the woman’s injuries at the scene.
Man Arrested as Police Hunt Witnesses
A 49-year-old man was arrested later that day on suspicion of assault and remains in custody as officers carry out further enquiries.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who saw the attack or spotted the blue Vauxhall Corsa in Dover or on the route to Deal during the time frame.
